Pain In The Heart - new mix, buzz GONEHey all, this is something I made a couple of days ago. umm, where shall I start... I loved Led Zeppelin's slowed down part in 'In The Evening'. Then Page goes into a little dark solo. Chills down my spine everytime I listen to that. So I took the chord progression that is in there and recorded it first for fun. After that I started doing little experimental solo things on it and added it to that.
After I was done with that I mixed it together and added a echo thing to it, and I was surprised what came out of it. Really happy with the result. recording is with a pc mic btw so there's a little hiss/buzz on the background. What are your thoughts on it? Crank up the volume on this one. - Br e nd Last edited by axl rose; 05-09-2005 at 09:58 AM. Reason: new mix |

Man it just sux that your recording with the PC mic...trust me bro I was in the same boat for quite some time. I just wish some of the hiss/buzz was gone cause I really enjoyed it...it was a relaxing solo and minus the hissssssss this would have been that much better. I like the idea here you did a good job man.....lots of emotional feel to the solo.

very nice playing. the sound quality is compromised a little by your recording method. if you are using a pod or similar, you really would benefit by plugging it straight into the pc. Cool job though

Thnx Rythameen! I know know,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT
There is good news, I just managed and found out that I could give the rhythm the left channel en de Lead the right channel, with the shitty programma I use, that way, the sound in the new mix I made is really clear. Also I did a high pass filter on it so that the buzz is completely gone! There is still a little 'hiss' on the background but I got no problems with that. It got a 70's feel to it now which I think is awesome, plus I got rid of my tech probs. I hope you will enjoy the new mix. Let me know what you all think! |
