Rush(ish)
I have been working on this tune off and on for a little while, I went into it attempting to catch an older Rush type thing. There's some glitches in there for sure but I am too lazy to retake everthing a bunch of times so here it is

Re: Rush(ish)
Very 'Spirit Of Radio' mate but fuckin'g love the Lifeson tone you've got there. Reckon it sounds very Grace Under Pressure era soundwise (think Kid Gloves). Were you using an out of phase setting on the new Jackson? Like position 4 between single coil and double??? Love it...

Re: Rush(ish)
Thanks wahwah, I am using a plexi with a little chorus on it on the bridge pickup. When I ran across the patch I instantly thought of "The Trees" by Rush so I half-assed tried to do some of that Lifeson picking. He's an animal, hard to get that perfect tone

Re: Rush(ish)
That from the Line6 site mate? Cos thats very close to Alex's tone. You're right about hard to crack because he changed his gear after about every 18 months! First off it was Hiwatt 100w and 4 x 12's. Then in the 80's he went for Gallien Kreuger...God knows what he's using now but always has an interesting sound...using semi-acoustics didn't help matters more! Re: Rush(ish)
Yeah, my Guitar Port is all I use now it's a pretty cool unit overall but there's no comparison to the POD so that may be the next thing on my list.

Re: Rush(ish)
Sounds like a long lost Rush demo tape...very nice. Listening to all the downloads on this site makes me actually want to practice for a change.

Re: Rush(ish)
I've only downloaded about 5 tracks, but so far there are some really F'ing good guitar players around here. Afer just hearing you and that metal monster Jethro I think you should change the site name to guitars 501 or 701.

Re: Rush(ish)
Hey EricGtr !!
Your composing skills are very good !! The chord structure and arrangement flows well, you could really make a great song out of this !!
Too Bad for Alex Lifeson getting in that Brawl, New Year's ..Seems so out of character of him !!
Cheers !!
