The dark side
Only been here a couple of days, but after hearing a few downloads, I felt compelled today to set my Vamp on the "Dimebag" setting, hit the d-tuna, dig out the bad horsie and try something a little different. I felt like I was pulled over to the dark side for a second.
Who would call themself "Dimebag" anyway? I guess I can't knock him...he is from Texas.

Re: The dark side
Excellent! I felt like I was floating through time and space near the end... Why so short?

Re: The dark side
Thanks...guys. The drums are my trusty Boss 670 drum machine. I play the bass part and guitar through my Vamp...I can get a good mic'd sound with an amp and a ton of pedals, but it's mono and takes a lot longer...but sometimes I overlay a mic'd track.
E.J.-I cut it short because nobody would want to sit through my playing for more than a couple of minutes max but let's get colaborate on something longer soon.

Re: The dark side
Hey, this is wicked VHfan0U812. I love the bad horsie, that is one mean effect !!!
But yeah, this song has attitude, and then the wahwah gives it a real dynamic feel. I enjoyed it, but echo el_jalapeno's view that it was a shame that it was cut short !!!
Great stuff !!!

Re: The dark side
thanks for checking it out Mondo...I have since mixed a much better version where I lifted everything out of the low end mud.....this one tends to rail out PC speakers fast.

Re: The dark side
The Vamp is a fun toy....I have the rack mount version. If you don't have an expensive mic and a good preamp...it's the only way to record and get a good tone. It's fast and easy. Really nice when playing late at night.....wife thinks it's the best $175 I ever spent.
