Where\'s Eddie second attempt

I don't know what happened last night, this thing came out of my hands in 15 minutes. I had to put it down on a track so I wouldn't forget it overnight.
As you can tell, it can be hard to steer away from one's influences...

The playing takes a poop toward the end, but I had to keep it or loose it! I want to put a few whammy bar dives and tapped harmonics here and there to dress it up for fun too...

Very Ed-ish CC, the tone sounds a lot like 5150 nice and tight. Great song I will look forward to hearing more when you get to it

Re: Where\'s Eddie second attempt

Thanks a bunch! I really like the direction this one is taking. I mailed it to our drummer and see if he can come up with something for next jam night.

I also came up with this tone in a instant with the POD.
I used a Mesa Boogie Recto with the drive on 3, a short delay, a touch of reverb, and chorus.

I usually make the mistake of overdriving the Recto too much. It's a really hi-gain model and after all already distorts like a son of a bitch, so I backed off the drive this time. I like the tone very much too, and assigned it to a patch bank on the POD for future use.

CC,

I really dig that groove and I am very jealous of your playing - it's A #1 in my book. I'd really like to hear how this evolves.

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Where\'s Eddie second attempt

Thanks, wip!
I'm really fired up with this little tune, and it has evolved a great deal tonight as I was revising it, and slighly modifying the licks so they're not too repetitive and predictable.
I'm on a roll and I will record it again as I go sometime next week.
I also now use the MXR Phase 90 to shape the tone even more and it sounds a lot better.
Thanks again for the encouraging comments, it means a lot to this guitar punk.
