Amount of downloads?

What does the amount of downloads mean in My files? If somebody listens to a track online without saving it on his/hers hard drive, is it calculated as a download?
In the threads there is counting of "views", not downloads. Are actual dowloads (with saving) and listening to the track online separated somehow in statistics?

Both mean how many times each has been clicked only.
