Battle Section

Right this is just because Im a picky sod really. But I think that the battle section really needs cleaning up a bit IMO. Theres a lot of seemingly random posts in there and I think that it'd be better if we had the old "Open Battle/Closed Battle" thread titles in there if its possible??

ALso I think that the battle judges should be sorted out because theres a lot of people named in there but don't actually do much voting on the battles.

Just an opinion.... I think that if they were to embed a player so that everyone could listen right from the thread with-out d-loading maybe voting would pick up? I am not sure...
having an open and closed thread would make the mods have more work by moving threads from the open to the closed threads...
I agree that it looks as though it has some randoms posts and many older battles, I don't want to see the battle section fall as the monthly comp has seemed to have fallen to the wayside. I know my opinion isn't much since Ihave been gone for a while, but I am trying to get back in here at least once a day and see what is shakin'...
I think to increase voting we need to get more veiweers in the battle thread...just an opinion...

No I dont mean so the mods have to move anything just so we know what battles are open. If you look in the battles section you'll see some say Open Poll, and theres one or two that say "Battle Closed". Thats what I mean just so we know what battles to look at in there.

I think a player would be a good idea but I dont know how easy that would be, wouldn't it take up a lot of room to do that??

Maybe on the area of all the random posts, maybe the admin when they get chance could clean it up by maybe deleting some of them posts??

Tried which...the deleting or the stand alone player?
I think the stand alone player should work because they used in some of the older post with the vid's I think it is just a matter of getting it in the post but I am not sure since the mp3's might be different than the vids...might have to check into how that is scripted....

to have the media player you have to have the "Anymedia BBCode for vBulletin" so that it will put the player in the threads, but I think that only works for the on site uploads so the off site links that some use probably wouldn't work for the player....but I am not 100% certain.......

Yeah I keep getting it too. Someone mentioned that they get it on the Artist Pages too. Hope it gets sorted soon I've got another battle to post up!! lol

Ive been thinking of putting a riff up and see how many people can come up with different harmonies for it, but i dont think thats a battle lol, but yup, Ill pm ya when I get the courage hahaha

Aye thats the very one billandgitana. Like you say I presume its becaus of the server move. Just hope they sort it out ASAP!!
