MP3 Covers - Guitars101

Please recombine the General and Metal/Rock subforums back to the way it was, just under MP3 Covers.

Did people really complain enough to warrant this seperation? It was really better the way it was.

Lot's of people complained because of post going off the first page literally sometimes in a matter of minutes because of the post traffic. This way more people get more listens and more users can goto where they like best instead of browsing through 50 songs that are all new and they only like certain genre's.

Ya, but songs aren't even in the right forums. Ton's of Rock Songs in the General forum. Oh well.

But the general forum is for rock songs... The other one is for hard rock or metal.
Personally I like the separation. I feel songs stay "alive" longer, and dont disappear as easy.

So now we need to determine what is Rock and what is Hard Rock?

If someone thinks there are songs in the wrong forum (it does happen) please PM me and I'll do my best to get it straightened out. But take into consideration it may also be the "style" in which the member recorded the cover as well that may fit the catagory.

i think the reason peoples song posts don't stay on the first page very long isn't because there's too many songs anymore. its because there are way too many bootleg posts and greeters welcoming 25 people in a row. i just looked at the first 2 pages and saw 2 songs, 30+ welcome to the site posts (25 in a row by edenbridge) ( I'm not picking on edenbridge but he's not the only one who does this) and another 30+ bootlegs posts.

You're right eamon, that's true of the "New Posts" list. But the songs were even disappearing from the Covers forum 1st page in a matter of hours cos of the number of posts. Thats what Revraz is referring to (I think) I dont think people post Introduce Yourself threads in the covers sections.

I will forward this to the MP3 mods as I cannot move any of the songs, you are correct they should be in the correct sub sections.
