New posts / threads not always bold text? - Guitars101

Hi, I just wanted your advice on something.

I come and read the site every day.

As you are aware, when you log in to the site, all new threads / posts are in bold.

But probably every 2/3 days, this fails to happen – and everything appears read.

Is this simply because the website is being heavily worked on by the admin / developers?, or because somebody else is gaining access to my account? [even though that’s impossible because I’ve regularly changed my password]

It's probably neither, but rather a cookie time out issue. Once you're on the site for a bit and idle, they will revert to a 'marked as read' status.

There is a way around this, which is to use this url and tweak it to your needs:
http://www.guitars101.com/forums/sea...etdaily&days=2
You can change the days=2 to the number of days you'd like to view.
