New Year's Resolution for G101
I think I have many backers on this sentiment and would like to throw this idea out there...
The perfect G101 New Year's resolution...No More Second Chances.
Why bother with the headaches going forward, history on this site has proven that it isn't worth it to even bother giving a second (or third, fourth, etc.) chance. I am sure it pisses off the mods even more so than the regular forum users. Just toss 'em...or, hell, you can make it entertaining too by having a poll and allowing votes!
So, speaking of polls, let's add one here to gauge the thoughts on this topic!
I say we make G101 douche free in '05! What sayeth the flock?

I do feel sorry for the mods. This site is very leniant and laid back, so it must be very upsetting and disheartening when a second chance is given to someone and they go and fook it up once again.
I'm currently "watching this space" to see whether the second chance policy does actually work, but the evidence does seem strongly against it... Unfortunately...

You guys can all blame me, I accept full responsibility. Being laid back works in more ways than one, other than letting a few people hang around with strong opinions we also have a great deal of support for all levels of players.
If all you focus on is the a few posts that you don't like, then that's all you will see. There is an ignore feature on this site, view the users profile and you will see it. Click that and your troubles are gone, that simple.
I will not run a militant site, this may not sit well with some of our users/staff but nobody is forcing them to stay. Everyone's work and time here is appreciated and so is the fact that they have to put up with people they don't always like, I have to do that myself.
That being said, this is more of a site feedback post so it's going to the Feedback forum where it can be discussed further.

ericgtr. I like your laid back approach and leniency. Hell, it's saved my ass a good few times !!!
What I don't like is when people take advantage of that good nature, which happens too damn frequently.
But, when you think about it, if there's only a few dickheads amongst the many, many great people on here, then I guess it's a small price to pay. There's always gonna be a few weeds amongst the flowerbeds.
But as you say, that ignore feature works a treat ! Especially in the chat room !

Eric I am proud to say I am a mod at both of your sites and I am glad they are both run like they are, with all the members and the way this site has grown is a testament to how the site is run and the way that jamtothis is growing is a testament to how that site is run, so I wouldn't say blame at all I would say major props that they are run the way they are!!

ok...what the f** is a douche besides the obvious connotation -i won't site any brands- ??????
As for the way this place is run, i cannot more agree with the Boss...the fact that he has gave time to some members to explain themselves denotes that he has the degree of tolerance, patience, flexibility, maturity, diplomacy, and comprehension to direct the whole thing..i don't regret or have any rant about the way things have been done here, ever, i cannot see any other guy doing this job so well, no bull...next time the UN will need somebody, i'll propose you Eric...
As for second chances, in my own personal opinion and experience, everybody deserves one..to give people second chances has made of me a better person: if i was wrong, i'll learn from it, if i was right, i'll gain a friendship..life is not black or white..is all on the nuances of grey...that said, this place is an organization, these ideas don't work the same way at that level..but at the personal level..i've embrace them

This isn't taking a shot at Eric, by the way. This is about Eric being taken advantage of because of his demeanor. Still 6 and 0 so far so it looks like people prefer to go doucheless!

LOL.. well the phrasing of the question doesn't leave much room. Who's going to vote and say "Yeah, I wanna douches here in 05"? Nice ballot there buddy
BTW Thanks for the nice words everyone.

I laugh because the choices are "do you like douches" or "do you not like douches". I don't even agree with what you are saying and I don't want to vote that "I like douches". It's all in the phrasing dude.

i for one really like this site. ive been on alot of forums, one in particular, where mods are just out of control, people have no respect for each other, and the admins only care about their ranking in the bigboard charts instead of stopping flaming and insults and banning the ones responsible...that always results in a forum becoming crammed full of nothing but A**HOLES!!
but i like this place the way it is. we have alot of cool levelheaded people and some fine musicians here... i hope it stays that way.
