problem uploading songs?

I tried for 2 hours last night to upload a song.it said "we cannot proceed".then after trying some more it would appear as if it worked but when I went to listen to it it would open up windows media player( a old looking version) and say done in the bottom lower left corner.then it would not play for anything.I'm using acid 4.0 and soundforge 6.0.I've uploaded many songs before with the exact same set up. its really bummin me out.my format for uploading was mp3.I tried everything.help please!

Re: problem uploading songs?

Okay, there are a couple of things to consider here. Last night my server crashed becaue it ran out of space on the file partition, meaning it wouldn't allow any more uploads no matter how small. That is fixed now. Second is to make sure the MP3 file is under 4 megs as that's the limit. Chances are you tried when the server was having problems, try again and let me know. Also make sure the song has a simple name with no special characters in it.

Re: problem uploading songs?

Those are actually two different things. 4 megs is the maximum upload per song. Then you have the amount of space in total for all of your songs, you should be good on that. To find out how big a song is on your PC before uploading, right click on it and select Properties, that will give you the size of it. Also, look for the sticky post at the top of any MP3 forum for EddieMan's How To shrink files.

Re: problem uploading songs?

Okay, it works fine for me. What type and version of media player are you using? Windows Media Player is notorious for fucking things up with all their upgrades so I never allow it to on my PC. Kick ass tune by the way

Re: problem uploading songs?

I don't think it will matter who uploads it, why don't you edit your post here and remove the attachment and then post in the contest forum. If everyone says they can't hear it then we'll take it from there.

Re: problem uploading songs?

Hey Tex, Are you on highspeed? If not, disconnect from the internet, then reconnect and try to upload again. If you are on high speed, it shouldn't be a problem. Let me know what happens.

Re: problem uploading songs?

El Jalapeno and fellow Texas Guitar Brother (LOL)

Hey Man Yes I have BroadBand, not sure what is happening?

If you look under cover MP3's My Goodbye to ommance 2.11 MB Worked. if you go to original mr3's and look at texas Axe Slinger the 3.15 MB Jam which is supposed to be 4 minutes is only 25 seconds when I uploaded it,,,it started to upload and then went dead? It DID put 25 seconds of the song on here though

Thanks

Gary
