SQL Error everytime I try to turn off the Sidebar in My Home settings

Hi there eric,

Everytime I try to turn off the sidebar by going into My Home, and then editing the preferences, I get an SQL Error.

I select OFF for the Sidebar, and then click on the Submit button.

When I do I get an :

SQL Error only visible to forum administrators

message. Any ideas what is causing this ? I'd really like to turn it off because it slows down my machine when I am trying to compose posts and the Shout Box tries to update.

I am not sure why this is happening, try making yourself visible in your preferences, then try it again and see what happens. Just to test it, if that doesn't work let me know and we will take it from there.

Here's what I do :

1. Click on My Home
2. Click on the Edit button for Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors...
3. The Sidebar Display option is at the default option of right
4. I select the drop down box and change the Sidebar Display from the default of right to Off
5. I then click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page
6. I get the following error message at the top of my screen

SQL ERROR: Mon, Sep 15 2003 0733 -0700 Database error only visible to forum administrators

Okay, I made myself visible once again (dunno how long that option has been turned on, or why I turned it on on the first place [img]images/smilies/dunno.gif[/img]).

Tried to turn the sidebar off again and got the same error...

You don't think it's anything to do with me surfing for porn at the same time do you...

Just kidding, I have no idea what could be causing it. However.... This machine is a pile of pap. I will try it on another machine and see if I have any joy.

No, got the same error message when attemtpting to perform the same change form a different P.C.

So, unless the two machines are as pappy as each other, or my listening to Ozzy Osboure is affecting my P.C.'s actions, I have no idea why it is doing this...

Get the same error even if I just try to change the sidebar from right to left...
