You were set to receive notifications, I changed it to none for you.

Actually, I have turned it off recently about 4 times...seems to keep comming back on for me. But it's groovy. With Hotmail, I get about 250 megs of space anyway, so it's not like it's killing me.

Okay, I will dig into this further and see what I can find. I turned it off and haven't gotten any since myself so I will have to dig around for the difference.

Eric, I really don't want to put you through all that. It's not that bad. It just had me going Happens right after I comment, then I get "re-subscribed"

This happened to me too. What I think is happening is that when you reply you need to scroll down and change the "Notification Type" under Thread Subscription. The default setting seems to be "Instant email notification."

Yeah but it should be automatic if you select do not subscribe in your user cp. This doesn't appear to be working right.

Just to chip in, this also automatically turned itself on for me as well about a couple of weeks back. Everytime I replied to a thread, it automatically subscribed me to it and I started receiving e-mails.
So I went into User CP -> Edit Options -> Messaging & Notification -> Default Thread Subscription Mode
The setting in there was set to Instant E-mail notifications, even though I hadn't selected it myself.
I changed it back to Do not subscribe and haven't received e-mail notifications ever since...
Hope this helps a little...
