Uploading Images - How To - Guitars101

When making a post or reply there is a button under all the smilie icons that says "Upload MP3" this can be used to upload your images too. Click on this link and a popup window will appear, Browse for your image and click on Upload. Wait for the file to upload, there will be a confirmation when it's complete.

After the upload is complete you have to highlight and copy the link, then click the "Image" link in your post and paste it in to the provided box.

it wont let me do anything !!!! Im logged on but it says im not !!!!!!!!!

If you can post, you should be able to also attach an image without a permissions error.

So you are first making a regular post, subject then body, then making sure the "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file " is checked and clicking "Continue" and then clicking the "Browse" button to find and upload your photo right? Please let me know at what point it says you aren't logged in? Also, you may want to logout and then sign back in to make sure the board isn't having a problem with cookies on your end.

Ok, Eric, i need to be sure of how this works - i want to post my desktop-
So i get the upload file and then on the image link it ask me a url....do i paste the path
C:/My images/whatever .gif thing???
I also want to know if you can see the picture in the preview post...

Right, its not a URL though, the Browse button allows you to look for the file on your computer and then upload it. Unfortunately you can't preview it with the image attached as it's the last step in the post but you can edit the post if you want.

Okay, I removed them at your request. Just to make sure, when you are attaching the Image you aren't clicking the "Image" link in the post are you? Its completely different when you post it as an attachment.

After you type in your post, click on the Continue button at the bottom, just as if you were going to a regular post. Then, on the next page you will see a Browse button, click that and find your image then click the "OK, Submit" button.
