Windows Media Player crashes.............
Ok Eric I know u got a shitload of work on and you're doing a fantastic job with this (almost) seamless transition of boards, but on the old board I could click an attachment and Windows Media Player would open and start playing the track immediately, whereas this action causes media player to crash on this board...... any ideas?
BTW this is one of those functions that you only miss when you know you had the functionality previously..................... for example I have downloaded Bluesplayers "Achilles Last Stand" in the time its took me to type this post (thats about 8.5MB in 2 mins) lol lol. I wouldnt even be 25% thru listening to the track in that time anyway so I guess I can live with it, just wondered if it was a bug or something.
Keep up the great work man................

The security of authentication when downloading a file is what causes WMP to not function correctly. I knew of this bug, just not to what extent and the developers of this board have ruled out their software. My best suggestion is to try something different, I personally went to winamp but it doesn't stream as it downloads either. I know that quicktime used to do it and it may be possible with that. WMP is the only player that doesn't work with this board, sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

Eric, I just streamed an attachment with media player!! No changes made to options etc. The track just played straight off clicking the attachment. Work that one out.....

The only problem with that is once you close out of your browser window and open a new one to come back into the site, you will have to log back in. It could be a small price to pay though

Make sure its set as your default player for Mp3 files. and make sure it has access to the internet(thats if your behind a personal or corporate firewall)

Start - Control Panel - Folder Options - File Types Tab
Make sure MP3 and WMA open with MusicMatch. If not, click "Change" and choose it

I just save the files on my hardrive, then open WMP and play 'em. I like to keep a folder with my favorite GT101 members music. I've never just played the songs from the links....maybe just save 'em first, then play 'em? You can always delete 'em if you don't want to save them. Works great this way.

Well seems here that wmp works sometimes and sometimes not . Not sure what would cause it to work part of the time . Was hoping we could fix this problem .

I'm having the same problem with RealPlayer (aol media player) that I use to preview the tracks before saving them to Windows Media Player. It starts, then stops before the tracks can play. This never happened with the old site, used to work fine.
