Adopted a Guitar TodayI used my day off today hitting all the music stores in my area. The last place I stopped was at Victor's House of Music, where I had gotten my Brian Moore from. Anyway, I was walking about and stubled across a very perty Schecter PT. Looked like it was pre-owned being sold on consignment...pffft. Price was 399 USD and I got the guy to let it go for 250 USD + I wouldn't take it if he didn;t throw in a leather gig bag and a set of new strings
I attached a quick picture of it. |

Re: Adopted a Guitar Todayyeah man...sometimes you get a good deal on used items. beats me why someone wanted to sell this. it has duncan pups, coil splitter, fast neck and beautiful cream color...the picture with flash has the color way off, weird.

Re: Adopted a Guitar TodayThat guitar sucks, Stinger. I'll give you $300 to take it off your hands, and that would be doing you a favor
Just kidding, she's a beaut. Well done Schecter is one of those "off" brands that you don't hear much about, but when you see something like this you say "Fuck me, where have these guys been?!?" |

Re: Adopted a Guitar TodayThe safest way is to use an old toothbrush and brush the lightly. You don't want to use anything liquid since it could damage the pup. What I generally do is use an old toothbrush, and then when I wipe down my guitar with a very lightly dampened rag of guitar polish, I just wipe right over the pups then bring a regular cloth for wiping off any excess as I do the whole guitar. That way no actual liquid gets in the pups.
