Canyon Carver\'s Toys This is my first guitar, a Canadian-made Vester I bought in 86, and striped two years ago. Sounds like shit, looks like it now as the clear coat has reacted and cracked everywhere. ![]() Wolfgang Standard with POD 2.0. This is what I use to record. I also use a BOSS drum machine (not shown) The Line 6 Flextone II 100-watt amp features 2x12 speakers and comes with floorboard controler with volume, wah pedals and many other features. Also MXR Phase 90 and Boss Flanger, plus now a Keeley-modded Boss Distortion (not shown) |

Re: Canyon Carver\'s ToysYeah.... Vester sounds like sh*t, but you gave it great looks....... Did you do the striping job yourself?

Re: Canyon Carver\'s ToysYep, I striped it myself, spent a lot of time color sanding between coats and putting lots of clear coat, until you couldn't feel the stripes underneath. It was a real beauty until chemical reactions started cracking the clear.
Looks like a crocodile skin now... |

Re: Canyon Carver\'s ToysThanks, Mondola.
I love this guitar so much that I haven't though of buying another until recently. I think I could use more tonal variety by getting a good Ibanez Jem or something like that, but I'm afraid it would take me away from the Wolf I love so much... I think I'll waffle around a couple more years before I actually make a decision, ah ah ah. |

Re: Canyon Carver\'s ToysI don't think you are waiting for such main stream Jem sound......
But I can't give you a decent advice, because I play only Jem for over 10 years now. I have difficulty with other necks..... I love the Jem necks, even when you are sweatty.... I hope I didn't hurt your Jem-dream...... I only want to say that you need to try it first before you buy one..... |

Re: Canyon Carver\'s ToysWhen I said Jem, I was referring to the specs more than the model by itself.
I tried my teacher's Tom Anderson guitar and it's a real sweetie. I'm affraid they are very expensive. I didn't even ask. They're built one at a time with top-notch components. |
