Couple of new additions
Well, sort of. One is new, one is a new version of one of my old axes.
Here's the new one - picked up a black USA Wolf Special at work for $325 ( ) after my boss took it on trade from some dude and sold it right to me.
Then, I repainted my strat and made a custom pickguard for it. It used to be metallic lake placid blue (kind oof a gunmetal blue color), which has never been "me", if you know what I mean. Anyhoo - here's the new version after I painted it and did the pickguard. Methinks it's bitchin', personally.

Re: Couple of new additions
Thanks guys - pretty proud of it, being my first "serious" refinishing job. I need to try and get a pic that shows how smooth and glassy the finish came out on the strat. The pic doesn't do it much justice.
Eric - if I can find a way to get my gear together in a room to record soon, I do have a few ideas I've been itching to get recorded. And yes, it does pay to be in the biz sometimes. LOL

Sweet Strat! I'm not much for Wolfs, but that Strat is the shit! So what is this about getting good deals by being in the biz??? Maybe you can hook a brother up?

Re: Couple of new additions
Jim I'm still jealous over the price that ya got that Wolf for! That's the color I'm looking for too. Either black, green or purple. That strat is bad ass too. Nice job on the pickguard

Re: Couple of new additions
The pickguard is a cool trick I came up with, to be honest with you. BUT - I'd be glad to divulge the sordid secret if ya ask nicely.
I first did it on a guitar I made for Fab for her birthday - a simple black squier strat that I wanted to "girly up" for her and made a leopard-print pickguard for. I did the trem cavity plates for both the guitars as well, and even the headstock on hers ( I had NO problem covering up "Squier Bullet", trust me. ), which was interesting.
BTW, Chris - I still have that black hardtail wolfie, and it's been marked down again to around $480.

Re: Couple of new additions
480? Hmmm....very very tempting. I think we might have something here, but it would have to wait till next month. I'll PM ya
