Can someone post a "How to tune a Floyd Rose" on here.

Are any of you good at setting up floyd rose bridges?

Ive got a new IbanezJS1000 with the Edge Pro bridge. I adore it but trying to tune the damn thing is a nightmare, great once it's tuned tho.

So, I unlock the nut locks, adjust the machineheads till I get near tuning (going across E to E, A to B etc)....but the bloody bridge just rides up to compensate so we go higher and higher...till the bridge is higher than it was originally (string height is affected)...

The strings are original and the springs in the floyd are the same setup also...

Any tips?

I ended up tightening the springs a few turns, now tunes up a treat...and stays there.

I think you got the wrong forum. But there is a thread at the top of "the guitar rack" i believe that ahs to do with tuning w/ a floyd.

Maybe I can be of some help on the DD Ibanez.
That is his signature model. there was one made which is his possession. Evidently there were some problems incurred in the deal . wont go into details. It Has a wizard neck. and rg type body. The artwork was done by a freind of his for him.
