I need to fill some tear out and then the tolex goes on. It's dark green Levant with Black and Gold grill cloth. It'll be 8 ohms mono and 16 ohms stereo. Check out my website for more pics. www.dafguitars.com

I'm very interested in this thread as I may be making my own diy speaker cabinet for my place so I can practise using a decent amp head and not disturbing the neighbours but be able to crank it up when I am out jamming with friends
Thanks everyone. I'm really hoping to get the tolex done this weekend. I'm a bit nervous about that since I've never done it before and there is very little info available.
The first one looks like this. I don't have the Carvin V3 anymore. I hated that fizz box. I now have a Series II Road King and still have the Peavey JSX. I have Mesa tolex for my next one and the green one will be stripped and re-skinned in the Mesa black as well.
In this case, it was horrible becuase I used a diluted yellow glue, brushed on, let dry and then ironed the tolex. It's OK for big flat areas but the corners were impossible.
I'm building another cab just like it and when it's done, I'll re-tolex the green one. Both will get Mesa tolex and it will go on with contact cement.
