Wow, a stringless SG! Those are rare...
How old's the kid, El? My little drummer is almost 11...

Re: Got a new Axe
Yea, the pics are from the guy I bought it from before it was strung up. The stringless SG plays like a fretless guitar without a guitar.
My boy is 8 1/2. He is kicking some major ass too. I am thinking by summer, if all goes well, he'll be posting up here with the rest of us

Re: Got a new Axe
A beauty. My brother plays SGs now, and he swears by them. Loves them. Can't wait to hear clips of it, be it from yourself or tiny pepper...

Re: Got a new Axe
Funny thing is that the neck width is just hair less than a Strat, and I really enjoy either. I have an LP that weighs a ton compared to this SG which is probably half the thickness on the body, so there is a whole new feel on my playing with the smaller neck and much lighter body. Goofy shit like that is what keeps me interested in the different guitars out there
Although I don't care much for the nut and will probably replace that soon enough along with the toggle switch.

No spoiling the boy about it. He earned it outright.

Re: Got a new Axe
I had a g400 custom for 2 and a half years. It was a cool guitar for the money. Plus i only lost 50 bucks off what i paid for it when i traded it in. I never had any trouble with the toggle switch.
