A little update.. She is off the hook and drying inside

If all goes well(Weather Pending) tommorrow morning before work I will take her outside for some real shots..

As you can see in this pic she has a mirror finish thats blurry that will all change to mirror once its buffed and polished.

Also the grain seen here is almost a true representation of how it looks in person. Its smooth to the touch cause of the clear coat but the grain is visibile underneath it. The clear coat is flat and smooth..

She is coming along nicely

Mocked up with the pickups and knobs that dont match LMAO

Looking very good... But I'm worried about 2 things.

1) I normally put 25-30 coats of Dupli Colour Clear Coat on.
2) I leave it 2 months to cure and dry really hard.

I'm just worried for you, buddy, If you wet sand it too early, it might turn to goo.

Looking good so far. Don't rush the cure time though. Give it time to cure otherwise you're gonna run into problems down the road. I've rushed several times on paint jobs and let me tell you, its frustrating to put all the work in a job and have to do it over again and wait even longer.

Other than that, great tutorial. Gets me thinking about doing a Wolfgang with that style paintjob.

Hey man, it's been a couple of days (or more LOL). I'm just looking forward to the finished product.

Me, I like guitar. I like loud squeals and pinch harmonics that only dogs can hear, tapping that would redefine what Fred Astaire popularized, sweeping that would make a janitor jealous, and most importantly great melodic HOOKS (like the greatest hook writers of all time Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). Singing is not a requirement.
