Hey... it was all done on a shoestring budget over time... cash deals only... I just kept my eyes open for the right piece at the right price... I've spent less on all my stuff put together than you would for a single brand new Gibson Les Paul Standard...

...and that includes four amps, a 2 x 12 birch cab, 5 pedals, two modellers and a 300 watt 8 channel Peavey PA system ...none of which appear in the picture.

It all boils down to having a modest fund set aside and keeping your eyes open for deals...

...and also arranging for "creative financing"... for the Peavey PA, I agreed to transport and set up some risers for a local choral group who had recently aquired a new PA... it added up to about 4 hours of manual labor and I got the PA at no charge.

I love natural strats... but you wouldn't believe the grief I've endured over that green pickguard personally, I love the thing...

and the "pointy" guitars are a '90 Charvel 275 Deluxe and a '92 Robin Medley VI... both are very effective shredders...

...eventhough I couldn't shred to save my life

and actually, the Charvel is a great example picking my shots as far as gear goes... I went to a guitar show about half way through it and hung around until the dealers started to pack up to go home... while I was there I'd scoped out a couple guitars that interested me... generally, they would rather travel back to where they came with cash instead of inventory... this one guy had the Charvel sitting there with a $100 tag on it... it had been refinished and needed a wet sand and buff job and it was far from set up... but was complete and in good shape... I offered him $50...

Done deal... it's a great guitar... it just needed a little work...

A good place to scan for guitar shows is http://www.vintageguitar.com
