My 1969 Les Paul

This guy was born a Les Paul Deluxe and after years of playing and many, many alterations, it ended up looking like this. A great player. $385 brand new with case when I was a little guy.

Thanks Mom & Dad

WOW....NICE! If I had a 69 LP I'd sell it...and buy about 50 new ones....LOL! My room would look like a Guitar Center.

You'd be lucky to get 2 Les Pauls for selling a 1969. Thats why buying old guitars are hell of a lot better than dishing out money for the new ones. The wood is dried and the pickups warm up over years. All whats needed is a tune up (a possible refret, replaning of the fingerboard, etc)... I had bought a 1972 Les Paul Recording for 2000$... A lot cheaper than most LPs out now!

Nice axe!

I have an very warm spot in my heart for the Gold Tops. I sold an original 57 in my youth that cost me 350 dollars for 500 and thought I was getting a good return on my investment. I very much regret selling it now, knowing what it's worth today. Great guitar. Don't ever sell it.

Me too, I had a 57 TV once. Bought it for $250 in 1975, and sold it for $500 in 1979... Biggest mistake of my life.

You're more than likely right. Especially since he swapped out the P90 soapbars, and put full size HBs in there. One thing is for sure Gibson is fucking up their Les Paul line more now, which will make the highly detestable 70s Pauls look attractive to collectors.
