My homemade mutts and gear

Hello all,
Here's a group shot of all my babies:

Top to bottom, left to right:
Mutt #1 - Charvel maple neck, Dimarzio ash body, Original Floyd Rose
Mutt #2 - Charvel maple neck, custom body, Original Floyd Rose
Mutt #3 - Warmoth maple/ebony neck and 1-piece Koa body, Original Floyd Rose
Mutt #4 - Warmoth maple/rosewood neck, flamed-maple on mahogany body, Dimarzio Virtual Vintage pickups, Fender American Vintage bridge
Mutt #5 - Warmoth maple/pau ferro neck, 1-piece ash body (found in pawnshop), Dimarzio Virtual Vintage pickups, Fender American Vintage bridge

All of my necks have 1 3/4" nut widths to accommodate my large-ass hands. The humbucker equipped guitars have EMGs in that pic, but are all being swapped out currently for Duncan humbuckers and Dimarzio Virtual Vintage 'singles'. And oh yeah, I'm also swapping out #2's chrome hardware for a set in none more black.

And here's my pedalboard:

Only the TU-2, MXR Micro-Amp and Vox wah are in front of my amp. The MM-4, EVH Phase90 and DL-4 are running in my amp's effects loop. My amp is a 1986 Mesa Boogie Mark III, red stripe, fully loaded, Simul-class, EQ, Reverb...love it. Running it through 2 Celestion loaded 4x12 cabs.

The cat was not included...lol

That one-piece ash body looks killer. Nice pawnshop find!

Did you do all this work yourself?

Thanks. I basically did the final assemblies and set-ups, but I'm no wood-worker by any stretch of the imagination...any routing job or whatever I don't have the tools to do I have a couple of pros around town that I use..

Upon doing some research, I found out the pawnshop body (that was a complete instrument when I got it, mind you - sold the neck and everything else off of it, then rebuilt it from the ground up) was made by a now-defunct guitar shop that was big in LA in the 80s. Lucky find, a custom body in a pawnshop. Funny thing is, after I'd sold all the other parts off it, I only had $40 in it... it was originally meant to be a backup, and now it's my favorite of my two 'traditional' Strats..

Oh, and my cat is only slightly evil...

Very nice skills. And thanks for sharing your pawnshop story. It's interesting to hear about how favorite insturments happen.
