My new Deluxe Strat

I bought this on 4 sep 2004 - here are the specs:

http://www.fender.com/products/show....partno=0101570

I know a lot of you will say a strat should have a pickguard but I already got one with a pickguard. The guitar sounds great with no noise at all from the pickups, the S1 switching giving great variety of tone. Expensive but I'm very happy with it.

Cool. I own a few Strats. but I'm not a pickguard fan. I like to see wood.
Awesome purchase man.

Re: My new Deluxe Strat

I hate pickguards too. I played the American Standard HSS in my local shop. I would have snatched it up too if I hadn't already purchased something else not too long before.

Re: My new Deluxe Strat

This is a good looking guitar. I don't care for fenders, but with no pickguard, they loose the silly, vintage appearence that make me turn them down usually.

Good choice!

I happen to like pickguards and a vintage look, but I like this one too! Hey, there's more than one type of woman I like!
