Re: My new Wayne guitar!
Cool! Can't wait to see the actual guitar. 3 months seems a little excessive though...

Re: My new Wayne guitar!
it will! Well, it's only michael charvel making the guitars so obviously it will take awhile. Plus its all hand made and all custom.

um no it's not excessive it all if it's made when ordered, if it's just hanging there that's a different story.
I wonder how much he paid for it ?

This is what I'm thinking: a few minutes on the CNC for the body, and whatever the machine is called for shaping the neck. Hand shaping the neck as needed.
Total 1-day since these are professionals that do this every day, they MUST have efficiencies similar to other batch processes. Figure another day for fret installation assuming they aren't using a neck off the rack and finishing guitar. 2 days now, tops.
Install Floyd, 1 hour, wiring, 1 hour Setup, 1 hour.
assuming they take smoke breaks and work in specialty areas to increase efficiencies like fretting a dozen necks at once, then someone else is crowning, round it two 2 1/2 days. Customers in line, 3 months back ordered. 3 months seems excessive... even taking into account if they are a small shop, which I don't think they are,and they only crank a guitar in 2 days, with three months back order, your looking at about 45 guitars ahead of this one, but I would think they could handle that amount in a third of the time than what was stated. If this was completely hand made, and it may be, but I'm thinking it isn't, so it should go fairly quick on the production run. Of course, I am making several assumptions...
Is there really anyone out there making this stuff by hand from the ground up anymore? I know that there may be a few, but they seem to be few and far between...
I would say he paid around $2k.

Re: My new Wayne guitar!
I think ed roman custom shop guitars are hand built from scratch. But they seem to get very mixed reviews on harmony central.

Those Monsters are nice. No nonsense, just a great playing and sounding guitar. I've never heard a bad thing about them.
