Re: patriotic Franky design
I don' t like it.
I feel that there is too much blue in comparison to the space occupied by the red and white.
It's a fun concept but I don't see myself owning one.

I totally dig it Rol. It would be cool to add something like that to my collection. Very cool.

There are 2 new pictures up that should give you a better idea
of what it might look like compllete, I think I'm gonna build this for myself, also I think the peghead will have the same design.

Re: patriotic Franky design
Its a nice design - but for me its a bit too mixed up - bits are like the US flag (other bits could be the UK flag). Also I don't think people some distance away would see it clearly. The US flag is a well known design and in my humble opinion well known designs shoud not be changed too much.
But I would be to see other guitars you painted.

Re: patriotic Franky design
I think the concept is totally kick ass, but it has too much of a "VH" mark on it. With Ed out there making new striped guitars and selling them, it seems there is enough of that out there already.
The VH idea may be your intention, but if you are looking for more of a patriotic vibe, I agree with Mete in keeping more of the flag design in tact. Painting the headstock would make a world of difference in an "upgraded" appearance regardless of what you end up with.

well I did it in the same technique as the Franky was painted so it's gonna looka little VH *but* I feel no one looks at it and immediatly thinks VH as they would if it were red\white\black.
The intention was to do something patriotic and not have the exact flag design, to me that' would be something that's been done a million times this wa something that I thought would kinda be the best of both worlds no pun intended,
thanks for the input.
