Has the customization mainly to do with the artwork, or did you customize something in the engine (pickups etc)?

Pickups were changed to Kinmans in the neck and middles and a bridge pup fronm a '62 reissue was used.
Other parts as you can see were bought elsewhere, pickguard was custom with a digital photo placed under the clear plastic, knobs,etc. and neck was bought from Warmoth.

the shot of hendrix at Monterrey is under the clear plastic
pick guard, so it can't be damaged!
But, you're right, i don't play it much as I have another favorite Strat for playing-plus the hendrix strat is a little over the top to gig with; although i don't play out anyway; but i couldn't see using it if I did.
