Stratocaster American Deluxe HSS

well i went shopping for guitars today...and played a js-1200 for the first time...it played like an old friend...neck reminded me of the js-1000 i tried (and strats)...body felt a little thicker and heavier....the tone sounded just like my guitars with fred in them...the chrome looks shinier on the knobs.....but since im so bored of the color i just couldnt buy it. Ill will be one of the first to purchase the "new js" once released...hopefully summer NAMM.
This years "King of the Blues" competition has had me looking at strats and i found the one i love. Pearl white color is awesome and the pickguard gives a nice bluesy contrast. Of course she sounds awesome and super versatile with the hummer, 5 way switch and a coil tap of somekind in the center of the volume knob.
To top off this beauty, a roller nut and locking tuners make the baby sweet and stable even when using the tremolo during testing. But the neck has some similiarities to the js-1200 neck IMO. Since it is the "Deluxe" model , case with strap , cleaner, cloth, chord, locking strap locks and the standard bag of hardware, tremolo arm and booklets all come included. Fraggled to $1165 from about $1300 when tax was added to sale price. I think shes awesome in tone and looks. Pics dont show the pearlescent effect to the paint.

thanks for the comments..one of the many reasons i bought this is that you can put almost any color pickguard on a guitar of this color and its like a new axe again..lol...ill post up some blues with it soon

Howdy Axe,

Looks very similar to my American Deluxe HSS LT.

The tap in the center allows you to get more choices with the pups by allowing serial connections... its calle S-1 switching and there is plenty of cool sounds in there.

S-1 Switching Diagram

Congrats on the purchase, Looks great!

Axe,
Your mp3 sounds like it has elements of Hendrix and Joe Bonamassa in it. Very cool!

Yum!

If that guitar was a steak? it'd be Filet Mignon....The filet is considered to be the most tender cut of beef, and one of the most expensive. Despite its hefty pricing, filet mignon is ordered by many at restaurants the world over. The average cow provides no more than 4-6 pounds of filet per animal. Because the muscle is non-weight bearing, it receives very little exercise, which makes it tender and easy to play.
