Damn my Fingers

No clue where to post this but i picked up my guitar i'd never touched before yesterday and i'm struggling with stretching my fingers so i've watched a few finger exercises, problem is i'm finding it hard to keep my fingers straight instead i pull the back after each strum, anyone know what i should do to train them not to?

1-2-3-4

Do that on all 6 strings.

The pulling back issue, do it SLOW... ONE..............take finger off... barley lift it..... TWO.................take finger off, barley lift it.... THREE........ etc etc

Deadly devil's right, some people just have an urge to play all short notes when they start playing guitar. Just slow down all your finger movements and adjust them until you've got the sound you want
