Free guitar software

"THE SCOTTISH GUITAR QUARTET CHORD ALCHEMY EDITION"

The ultimate tool for looking up and reverse searching notes, intervals, scales and chords for fretted instruments!
Guitar * Banjo * Mandolin * Bass * Ukulele * Charango * Plus More

You can trial the software for 7 days.

DOWNLOAD THE NEW INSTALLER

1) download the installer
http://www.chordAlchemy.com/TADownloads/ca_sgq.exe
2) Install chordAlchemy
3) Check it out.

I suggest you put this on a system that's never had chordalchemy on it
so you can see how the trial works. No serial number or authorization
key will be needed.

Thanks

I was looking for a quick and easy app to create chord diagrams. There seems to be a ton of guitar apps out there with everything but the kitchen sink in them, but nothing that would just let me click on a couple frets and save or export a BMP chord diagram that I could stick on a web page or in a Word Doc.

So I wrote one myself, and posted at:
http://www.zippybackflash.com/software.htm

When I am not playing guitar, I'm a professional software developer, so this isn't some hack-ware that will infest your PC with ads or crap. I just figured that if I find this useful, someone else might too.

For the security concerned, I am willing to make the source code available for anyone to use.

Cheers,
Lonnie

Thanks Guy!

That's very helpful - cheers to all! I've downloaded "QuickChord" to give it a go.

I spent about 15 years with Iguana Ent. and Acclaim Ent. as an art director, although I originally joined the industry as a programmer - what types of software do you specialise in?
