Help with ScaleTool software
Hey y'all guitar gurus:
I've got the ScaleTool freeware for a few weeks now, and i'm trying to figure out how to use it -no help file with it-
Anybody has experience with this software?? I can understand most of it but the precise sequence to play a scale -like a pentatonic scale- is not clear enought to me...how do you read this???
I would love to have any help on this..so far i can play pentatonics through other means, but this lil sucker is full of good stuff, i just need some help for the decoding...
Thank you!

Ok, since you mentioned pentatonics (and it's an easy one), lets use A Pentatonic Minor as an example. When you select it, you'll see that it consists of 1,b3,4,5,b7. All you have to do is connect these in that order to construct the various positions of the scale. Note how they start over at 1 after getting to the end of the scale. Check out the pic I attached. Hope this helps

Glad I could help Sis
Something else I forgot to mention is that you can move any of these patterns up 12 frets. So the open position pattern can be played at the 12th fret and the 5th position pattern can be played at the 17th fret
