Is this from a song (I think this is what I was playing)

At least I think that's what I was playing, I don't have the guitar in front of me. It sort of sounded like something familiar, but I'm not sure. It's all harmonics. Let me know if it reminds you of something, and I'll check tonight whether that was what I was playing...

I can't remember what it sounded like now either. Last night I had drunk a couple of WKDs (The Real Big Bottles).

I was playing it, and it was reminding me of a song. I though, "I'll ask the guys at VHFans tomorrow, they'll know !"

Plus, I thought I'd be able to remember it easily. Well, it appears the WKD killed off whatever brain cells were holding that information, because I have promptly forgotten what it sounds like and it will have to wait until I go home !

Which kinda sounds a little different.

The chords that I was playing around in the background were also based around D G and A. However, I was playing them open string chords as well as up around the 10th and 12th frets.

By the way, sorry for making you all play the wrong thing, but it was damn funny coming in this morning and reading all your replies telling me it doesn't sound familiar. I'll try and have a crack at it, but you know what I'm like, I say I'll do this, and I'll do that, but I never get round to it.

Would be a shame not to do this, cuz it seems like it might sound nice, even if it does sound very laid back and cheesy.

Alright, if I have a bash at this, I'm going to need some simple drums. Eric, did you used to just program the drums in using Cool Edit Pro ?

e.g. download some drum sequences and then just path different ones together in order to get the drum track you wanted ? Doesn't it take ages, or are them some special secrets that you can relay to me ?

I usually just use one drum loop and extend it to the length that I need, I never patch different ones because I am too lazy [img]images/smilies/dunno.gif[/img]

I recorded something for this "song idea" tonight.

Just smacked a few ideas altogether. All in the same D G D A key, but just variations on the same theme.

Got a really lazy slow drum loop going and then just smacked them altogether.

Sounds really terrible, because my timing is awful, and I've messed up tonnes of times. However, I wasn't going for perfection here, I just wanted an idea of what would go.

Result is that everything goes together really well. However, it just sounds mega cheesy. Like the title song for Bagpuss, or some other old kiddies program or something.

Anyway, I'll keep at it, and if it ever gets decent enough for myself to be happy with it, I'll post it up for you all to piss yourself laughing at it !

I'm super worried, because Jen likes it, and that can only mean one thing...
