here is a cool exercise what you do is play a arpeggio in one position and tap the same arpeggio in a different position it might sound complicated but it aint really.

Amin Arpeggio in 5th position

Aminor Arpeggio in 8th position

using this idea you can expand and use 3rds/5ths. You could even just do triads or whatever
hope its useful to someone
