The Major Scale/Chords
The major scale contains 7 notes these seven notes can be broken down into 7 other scales these are called diatonic modes, they can also be roots for chords.
the build up of the Major scale is :-
1st position = Major
2nd = Minor
3rd = Minor
4th = Major
5th = Major
6th = Minor
7th = Diminished
So if we use the notes of the C major scale which has no #'s or b's (C D E F G A B)
The chords will be
C E G = C MAJ
D F A = D min
E G B = E min
F A C = F MAJ
G B D = G MAJ
A C E = A min
B D F = B dim
