Hey, I've had one of these kits for about a year and a half now, after 6 months the provided software got abit dull so the kit sat in the corner for a good while. Since I've stumbled across your tutorial though I'm keen to get playing on it again, unfortunatly I've changed my PC in the meantime and lost the original software
It's something like Virtual Drum X?Anyone got any idea where I can get my hands on it? Doesn't seem to be on the net anywhere. Cheers, Ryan |

IonMidiI have the IonMidi zip file. If anyone needs it let me know and I will email it right away. It is terribly better than eDrum Monitor. It just works. There is no need to manually add track and change settings, because it is all there for you to begin with. I like it a lot. I just roll MidiYoke, Virtual Drum X, IonMidi and BFD2, then I start playing, No crap. No settings. No hassles. PS - While I'm writing, I have a question. Has anyone noticed that ION updated the IED05 to a newer version with an output module that has a midi port built in? I am trying to get them to trade my crappy old USB version that I bought 2 weeks ago for one, but the are pretty unresponsive over there. I also tried to buy the iDM02 Drum Module and a week after placing the order I sent an email to find out how much longer I had to wait to get it and the told me it was back ordered. What a bunch of lazy people, they couldn't have told me that 6 days ago? Any ideas of a standalone module I could use instead? Preferably something cheap, if I had money I'd be playing a Roland.

althage Could you email me a copy of ionmidi.zip file? as the provided link doesn't work.(though you need atleast 5 posts to email through here?)
Let us know how you get on with the ION iED01. I'm tring to use my iED05 with cubase recording. Ive tried GlovePIE, but it hasn't really worked out for me. I wondered if i could connect my pads to a Alesis DM5 module to record my drums pads through midi. Or I may just go for the iED01 Mark |

Hi there,
I've tried the glovepie method too, and can't get any joy with connecting it to Cubase or Reason; sorry to be a nuisance but could I also have the ionmidi file please? menendoplex at hotmail.co.uk I'm trying this using Maple Virtual Midi cable. I'm pretty new to midi: I can't see any input relating to Maple in Cubase or Reasons input section. Same with other virtual midi cables I've tried. Would anyone like to help a helpless fool? |
