The following is taken from a post made by "Full Bug" over at the Army. It is a portion of an interview conducted with DAVID LEE ROTH conducted recently.

Q: Whats the latest Van Halen news? Do you still talk to those guys?

A: I talked to the drummer (Alex Van Halen) about a week ago. And, I think, eventually, the inevitable will happen.

Q: You mean a reunion?

A: Sure. And it won't be rockers with walkers. Getting onstage and singing "Dance the night away", let me tell you how difficult that is going to be. When people bring up VH, I talk about it with pride and with no apprehension at all. I play those songs all the time.

(I know that this thread should not be in the Lounge, but I'd like to hear the Lounge Lizards thoughts on this)

Anything to get the 4 of em onstage together MONDO...This is the best news I've heard in a long time. The fact that Dave has spoken to ALEX speaks volumes regarding a reunion!!

I hear ya....but the main reason that a reunion has not taken place in 21 years is or was the lack of a relationship between Dave and Alex. Alot of rumored hatred from Alex towards Dave. Again, Dave saying that he spoke to ALEX is HUGE news, just HUGE!

I know man, I was just taking the piss to wind you up.

Of course a reunion (if done properly) with the four of them would be amazing. However, I am guessing that it would be US only once again and that the tickets would be astronomical, thus meaning it would be difficult to get to.

Unless you guys would be willing to contribute to a "Get the UKers to the US to see Van Halen" fund, then the reunion news probably wouldn't make any difference to me as I'd just be back onto jamtothis.com as I already am...

I know it sounds negative, but it's the truth. It would be extremely difficult for me to get out there to grab a show...
