Air ConditionerYesterday at 2:30 I called my local Best Buy and asked if they still had in a specific model of an air condioner that they had on sale, I was told that they had 19 left. So two hours I left work and drove all the way over there in rush hour in 100 degree weather just to wait around to talk to someone for 20 minutes and find out that they were sold out of them before 11:00 that morning
Needless to say I wasn't very happy with the situation, I explained it and they said that even though I called the local number, I was routed back east and their system wasn't updated. I then asked for the floor model and I was told no, so I asked to speak to a manager, a weasly fucker that sent his assistant out to hand me a number that I can complain to and wouldn't make eye contact with me. It's not like I was staring the guy down either, I asked politley to speak to him. There you have it, customer service at it's best and well chosen management from the looks of it. I called the customer service number and lodged my complaint with them. Chances are I won't hear anything back and that's cool, i will just find an air conditioner elsewhere (probably not til after the heat wave though) but I can guarantee that I will not shop there again. I don't mind the mis-hap but there is nothing worse than a chicken shit manager and they obviously can care less about the customer with choices like that. |

Re: Air ContionerMaybe I am just a poor consumer I finally got one today after searching 4 other stores and mowing down an old lady with a walker that tried to get to it before me.

Re: Air ContionerI got that from Seinfeld, did anyone catch the episode where George ran out of a house that was on fire and ran over and stepped on an old lady with a walker on the way?

Re: Air Contionera few notes:
* I hate (I mean LOATHE) Best Buy * Air Conditioning is the single greatest invention of the past 100 years. * Eric, I admire you for holding out so long to get a "unit". * I have a great mental image of you delivering a forearm shiver to a lady with a cane in Sears. |
