I'll go along with that. He is shockingly good and has managed to build up an air of mystique about him. Also much as I hate to admit it - Will Young has written at least one good song. And I loved the fact that he destroyed Cowell and Fuller by announcing he was gay a week after he won Pop Idol. And his career hasn't really suffered as a result.

I had a feeling this topic would get a few replies... there's more American Idol fans here than I thought. What about the singers on the board? VanMan, 3F, Rain??? Just curious if you guys are watching... maybe you've auditioned

PG...I never watch tv, except during football season and the occasional History channel or Discovery channel....I know it's popular, but I have never seen the show even once to be completely honest. I would think it's like the Miss America pagent...not necessarily the best talent....but they won over the judges...???

I am just glad it's over,Rockers can now get back to making fun of this show, and not stand in line to buy any cd's...

That was a close call....If rockers where to buy cd's from American Idol..That could mean 1 thing..next year will be a freaking rapper...

Finale was the first show I watched, my wife called me in and told me Kenny Wayne Sheppard and George Benson were going to be on. Was worth sitting thru to see them
