Charro!!! Goochie! Goochie!

Don't know if any of you have caught any episodes of the new show "The Surreal Life" on VH-1, but the current season has Charro on it. If you don't know who Charro is, I can't tell you much about her except that she was on "The Love Boat" at least 3 times in the late 70s. That is all i know about her. She always struck me as a gimmick or joke of an entertainer. Anyway, in the latest episode of The Surreal Life, they go to a Vegas-type show put on by Charro (no worries if you haven't caught this episode yet. VH-1 whores the shit out of these in re-runs. You're bound to catch it sooner or later). Well, let me tell you what. This lady can f*ckin' play the Spanish guitar better (more flamboyant and authentic and technically proficient) than just about any dude I've ever seen try to play that style of music. It MOVED me. I kept turning to my girlfriend, who was watching it with me, and saying something like, "who the HELL is THIS lady??" If you have not seen this episode and catch it on TV sometime, check her out. SHe is the bomb.

This is the exact reaction that I had after I saw the "Biography" special on Wayne Newton. Now that's another insanely gifted due.

I saw that also KC and I was very impressed. She is a fantastic flamenco guitarist! I went through a phase back in the late 80's where I tried to learn Classical & Flamenco because Randy Rhoads did and let me tell you I sucked at it! It's not an easy style of playing at all. I gave up and stuck to the Metal from then on

You have to respect Charro's talent.

Ah yes Charrro!! I remember them...I mean her

Did anybody see The Benefactor last night. Marc gave everybody $1000 and 24 hours to do something special with it. This one idiot decided he was gonna learn to play guitar in 24 hours! Lol, he spent the whole thousand on the guitar and tried to teach himself...rather than saving some $ for a lesson or two! It was horrible
