Damn Cheetah
Fellas, i've got a pretty damn good rock band to reccommend to ya. They're named Damn Cheetah and their latest release Primal kicks major ass! They're sorta like a mix of Cinderella, AC/DC, and Dokken. The singer is great, the songs are very melodic, and the band as a whole is tight. And they have guitar solo's too!! Who would have thought of that! Very cool band guys you should check em out. There's a review of them on Melodic Rock and you can check their site out here: www.damncheetah.com

Re: Damn Cheetah
Hey Sucka! I saw your post at the links and checked out some of their tunes on their website. I must say, I'm very impressed, it's so awesome to see a new CD out that has good hard melodic rock and guitar solos! There is a part in the solo of Maybe Tomorrow after the descending run wher the guy makes a couple of tasteful bends that just grabs me like nothing has since.....well....an EVH solo!
I guess I'm just old, but when I compare this kinda music to the 'rock' that is out there today, my god there is no comparison...

totally glad you enjoyed it bro! Im tellin ya it's worth the 12 bucks to buy this cd. If i had more cdr's i'd make ya a copy of mine. The album rocks from top to bootom. I could have gone without the ballads though. They make the album sound waaaay too 80ish, but all in all it's still bad ass. My favorite tune on there is Do You Like What You See. Man that song rocks!

Re: Damn Cheetah
im tellin ya you wont be disappointed. Its not like these guys are the best thing since bubble gum, but they have an old formula and it works for them and produces some really good tunes. Great singer, good drummer and bass player, kick ass guitar player, and great hard rockin melodies. It works for me and is a hell of alot better then what MTV is tryin to shove down our throats

Re: Damn Cheetah
cool, and im always lookin around for new groups so i'll let ya guys know if i hear anything good. If ya like George Lynch/Dokken you should check out The Lynch Mob. There are a few old Lynch Mob classics and some old Dokken tunes on that the boys reworked and the cd is awesome. The singer has an unbelievable voice! Alot of Dokken fans dont like it though because George messes around with different tunings and darker tones and it's not the pussy sound that Dokken was with Don singing. The music is far more darker, and the solo's are great, but George really emphasized his backing guitars on this cd. It was a good buy though and worth checking out for sure.

Re: Damn Cheetah
I'm checking it out as we speak Sucka...I always look out for new bands at www.melodicrock.com - what he doesn't know about rock and AOR in particular, is not worth knowing. I've discovered ARK( Jorn Lande on vocals and amazing musicianship from the other guys), Talisman (same again-I had an album of theirs from about 1990 but they've released a shitload of stuff...also as Humanimal). I love the guitar players who still put the emphasis on pizazz and make the fucker sing. I'll check out Damn Cheetah right now! Cheers.

".....And Stephen Pearcy says Jake E Lee is playing guitar on a Ratt compilation for Cleopatra Records! Pearcy has apparently re-recorded about 13 Ratt hits and 4 Mickey Ratt songs. Jake is set to play on 6-7 cuts...."
