It's the new trend - "everbodies doin it". Here, try a hit of Dick Chaney. Mmm, the sweet buzz of oil profits.

In case you havent noticed it's been lingering around 2 dollars a gallon ever since they got in. Yea it fluctuates from time to time, and I see a distinct pattern. It always gets hiked up on the weekends. I rememeber not very long ago at all when it was just over a buck. Like 1.20. Hmm, it doesn't help his case when he comes from a major oil company, and the area of the world we are fighting is full of oil. 1+1 = 2.

Yea it'll go down once they've reaped the world of the rest of its oil supply, and left the middle class in shambles - or rather inexistant

LOL! What gets to me is that we could have started actually using such technologies YEARS AGO. But apparently they don't want us to. The options have been there for 10 years, the scientists have been begging the govt. for 10 years. But apparently oil profit is more important then a healthy environment and conserving energy. Oh well

the technology was there
The reason why it wasnt introduced was because it wasnt efficient in comparison to gas. As the prices of gas rise there will be more need to go to other alternatives, eventually they will become more efficient. By efficient I mean it has the lowest opportunity cost. (although thats ignoring negative externalities such as pollution and war)

saying ignorant and uneducated together is kindof redundant
I KID I KID
again I highly doubt that brain was directing his comments to all people of the south, but maybe he was.

back to the topic though. The whole notion of the government keeping technology away from the public is obsurd. When the technology becomes efficient enough to suffice all needs at reasonable costs it will be used.
