Did You Know?
This will be the place to post all kinds of odd and unusual facts that might otherwise go unnoticed.
#1. Did you know that on the original Batman TV series, Burt Ward(who played Robin) had to take injections in his penis to shrink his bulge because Catholic Women's Groups were complaining that it was too big and inappropriate for television?

If I'm not mistaken(I'll have to check the book again to be sure) but I think it was something that constricted the blood flow to the region. I don't remember the name though.

The phrase "rule of thumb" is derived from an old English law which stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb.

NASA spent over $25 million dollars and years of research to make an ink pen that could be used by astronauts in a weightless environment.
The Russians used a pencil.

No, he wasn't paid well but he's a made a nice career from it. What's funny is that both he and Adam West(who played Batman) wrote books about their experiences on the TV show. Adam West's book was very straight forward and serious, and Burt Ward's did almost nothing but talk about all the women that they screwed at public appearances and what a tool Adam West was for stealing his lines. Although Adam West does get credit for having one of the coolest photo captions I've ever read. It's a picture of him meeting the Pope, and the caption reads "From one Caped Crusader to another." If you're not a Batman fan, you probably won't get it.

Man, I need to get ahold of some of that stuff, as I have problems getting through doorways sometimes!
Now for my "Did you know?" moment:
Did you know that "Geddy Lee" is actually a stage name for his birth name, Gary Lee Weinrib. The moniker "Geddy" came about from his school mates who used to make fun of his grandma's thick Yiddish accent when referring to Gary, and the name stuck. He obviously dropped the last name and replaced it with his middle name, as many do.I do believe that "Geddy Lee" is now his legal name.
Also, it has been reported that Geddy's parents were Polish immigrants who came to Canada after surviving the Nazi concentration camps. Thank Gawd for that, or perhaps "RUSH" would have been called "Reich."

Did you know Austin Texas is the southern most U.S. capital? Tallahassee, the capital of Florida is 11 miles "more north" than Austin.
