Does anyone else get sick of the phrase \"THERE ya go!\"?
Does anyone else get sick of the phrase "THERE ya go!"? This is a phrase that has surpassed the cliche mark quite a while back yet it seems to have found a firm spot in the majority of people’s arsenal of safe responses to people's lame comments. What does it mean and how did it get started? In my mind, that phrase is usually uttered as a way to say, "Hey, I understood what you just said, but I didn't think it was that funny, intelligent or enlightening, nor do I necessarily agree with you, but I am acknowledging your statement in a polite and non-confrontational way.” I guess a 3-word phrase is more economical to the tongue than that 37-word statement. Think about this the next time you catch yourself replying with the “There ya go” statement or hear someone else use it, and see if this theory holds true.
Does anybody agree or disagree with me?

Re: Does anyone else get sick of the phrase \"THERE ya go!\"?
Nice addition, my friend. Let's Recap:
- There ya go!
- My Bad!
- Any Who...
- Dude (as in, "Dude, what's going on Dude?")
Anyone else? I think that, if we get enough annoying phrases and people behind the movement, we could maybe get Congress to outlaw them.

Re: Does anyone else get sick of the phrase \"THERE ya go!\"?
I had the waiter at Red Lobster say, "Dog, can I hook you up with more water?" I didn't know if I should laugh or not becuase I didn't want him spitting in my food!
BTW, "Dude" is alright in y book, especially if I don;t remember someone's name

Re: Does anyone else get sick of the phrase \"THERE ya go!\"?
Ok, apparently their is a number of people lobbying for the removal of "Dude" from the list of annoying phrases that we are going to present to Congress. 2 people have protested it being on the list. I think that the general rule of debate is that three people have to dispute it before being axed. anyone else?
Ok, dudes, Let's recap:
- There ya go!
- My Bad!
- Any Who...
- Dude (pending)
- Wait...What?
- What up dog? (or any use of the word "dog" when referring to a human. Boy, Randy Jackson would not fit in good 'round here).
