favorite blues
even a shredd head has to have a blues tune that sticks in your mind. true feeling/ true emotion, which is what music is inherently about, is embodied best by the blues. share with us the blues (or even just emotionally stimulating) song that does it for you. for me its a tough call, but freddie king "same old blues" is the one that gets me. honorable mention to sonny terry/brownie mcghee "better days" WHATS YOUR BLUES FAVORITE? enlighten us

for me its probably Devil got my Woman by Skip James, or almost anything that he's done.. Or possibly something from Robert Johnson, like Last Fair Deal or Come in my Kitchen..
When I that old blues music I can really picture the fried catfish and collared greens, muddy rivers and misty bayous.

Albert King - I'll Play The Blues For You
I'm a total blues lover, and it would be extremely hard to pick a blues favourite for me if it wasnt for this tune!

I love all the old blues stuff, but lately I've been listening to and trying to play, I Know Where I Belong by Joe Bonamassa.

Hell yeah. That made me cry once.
There are a few others, but no one as much as Life Without You.

It was 1980. I just started High School. My older brother took me to see "Blues Brothers" at the theater. John Lee Hooker performed "Boom Boom" out in the middle of the street. I was hooked on Hooker ever since.
"I like it like that" - John Lee Hooker
If you get to San Franciso don't miss the Boom Boom Room. This was Mr. Hookers bar. It's an amazing place to hear some music. The Boom Boom Room is across the Street from the Fillmore on Geary St.

Off the top of my head, I'm thinking SRV "Couldn't stand the Weather". Honestly, im starting to really like Joe Satriani's "Down, down, down" too.
