File Sharing Site Question?

Hello All,

I had MegaUpload for some time, and as we all know, the US federal government shut the site down in February of this year and I lost all uploaded links (primarily the time and work of putting them there). It was just my luck that the "backup" (would've been) drive I had with the same files crashed about two months prior to that. Fortunately, in many cases, I had the material backed up on other drives, CD/DVDs.

Anyhow, I started using FileFactoy because I could see many users who had files I was interested in were also using them. But I've had nothing but problems with FileFactory and keep getting excuses from them on why things aren't working. It's always in about a week the problem will be solved" and "we're having server issues" with FileFactory. But nothing has changed. I am totally disgusted with them, and after 6 months of using them, I'm done when my account expires at the beginning of next month. I strongly recommend avoiding FileFactory unless you want to have to upload the same files (after 100% completion, time, etc is wasted) numerous times before things work.

I've been Looking at MediaFire and HotFile both because I've used them for free at times and things have worked fast and great. They made it easy for the free account users, so I can only imagine it'd be better for paid members. MediaFire even has a phone number on their site (I just called and got someone immediately) so you can talk to someone. The only drawback I could see from what they offer is there is a 250 GB cap (currently...they say they're working to enlarge how much you can store) on storage for the monthly accounts. I need to double check this and find out for sure, but it appears this is the case. Both MediaFile and HotFile have ways to bring my FileFactry files I've already uploaded over to their site (I won't have to re-ulooad everything again) too, and plenty of other helpful features the uses here on the forum might have use for (or even from another type of use), so that's a big plus.

My question is this. Has anyone had god or bad experience with either of these two services, and if so, what were they.

One other question I'd like to ask is this. Are there any other sites which can be accessed through the USA that anyone might recommend?

I'd like to find a great, reliable file sharing site and quit running into issues and excuses like I get with FileFactory. Both MediaFire and HotFile have great pricing on their accounts, and if I go with what I'm considering right now, MediaFire has a $35 USD 6 month account allowing 600 GB of stoage. They also have a one year account which ups the storage and lowers the price per month cost even more. I don't want to waste money getting a long term account until I try a service out first. But if all works well, I'll definitely get the longer, more money saving account then. I'm currently looking at these two services, but I'm interested in checking other sharing sites out too if anyone has recommendations.

Here are the two sites I'm looking at homepages:

http://www.mediafire.com

http://www.hotfile.com

Thanks for any help...
