Financial Advise Needed - Guitars101

Not sure is anyone here can help me with this or not, but will ask.

I have sold another poem (which will be displayed for one month from 1st August 2005, had to get a plug in there!) this time to an American web site (www.justusroux.com).

They have subsequently paid me....unfortunately even though I asked for payment in by cheque in pounds sterling, they have sent me a cheque for $10. Does anyone know how I can cash this without paying more than what the sterling value is in charges please?

With our economy over here in the state it's in other countries still accept american money?

ha ha Teleplayer, the problem is over here $10 equates to around £5.50 pounds sterling and my back will charge me £10 pounds sterling to pay the $10 cheque into my account.....there for it will cost me $20 to pay in a $10
