Firefox question for you guys

For those Firefox users out there, do you find it to be a better browser for this site? In particular, the downloading experience.

I find the wait for certain media an acceptable tradeoff for the better browsing experience of no popups and security features that Firefox offers. Before changing the forum, if I clicked on an mp3 in Firefox, it would launch externally to Winamp. Now it opens up in quicktime in the same window I was reading the thread in. Knowing it does this I have to be aware of "open link in a new window" so I can keep reading posts. I would like it to go back the way it was. It still works fine on other forums.

That's the security setup of this board, I would change it if I could. It sounds like you have .mp3 associated with Quicktime though, you should be able to change that.

Yeah, I looked at that, but, as i said it is only on this board. Other forums clicking on an mp3 post launches in winamp. I'll check it out.

Yeah I use Firefox - when I click on an MP3 - it just asks me if I want to download it. It doesn't open anything except the download manager.

I've only run into this with Windows Media files. When I click on them, it opens a blank page - then Media Player opens up with the file. Then I have to hit the Back button to get back to the page I was looking at. Must be something to do with a file association.

Firefox seems to work just dandy here at G101 - loads fast - downloads are at a good speed. (At least for me)
