I dunno, I like them both...............but given most of the people around me I know complain more about foreigner and lump em' in with Loverboy, who's music I also like (dodges beer can thrown at him), I'll go with the 70's band singing "Ladodadoday" with the afro'd fusion guitarist, Journey.
Journey for sure, Foreigner was good but as far as individual musicians concerns journey is so much better and more talented than the guys in Foreigner, Mick Jones is an average guitar player where Neal Schon is at the top ..
i got your back scat...c'mon, who doesn't want to become a rockstar when they hear Jukebox Hero?! and who doesn't want to go up to that snooty bitch that talks to you behind her friends backs and tell her how its gonna be like a Dirty White Boy?! hm?
i can't even think of a Journey song right now, let alone one that inspires me to melt peoples faces off with a Marshall stack or do the prom queen out back...

As a lead guitar player myself, Journey stands ahead of Foreigner. Neil Schon is one of the most under rated guitarist of the 70's - today.
Foreigner though has great singable songs with attitude. Man when I was 11 we would get the tennis rackets out and jam to juke box hero all over the house.
