Grrrr....
I recently bought a jeep 4x4 and the valve cover was cracked. So I bought a new one from the internet (jeep4x4center.com). Right below was a "Gasket, valve cover" that I also needed so I bought. I got a valve cover and a tube of ****ing silicon!!
Yes, silicon can be used as a gasket if you have no other choice. It isn't the greatest though and certainly doesn't qualify as a valve cover gasket. There were clues that, had I been observant enough, would have warned me that I wasn't ordering what I thought (including the reciept not saying valve cover gasket anywhere on it) but boy is it irritating to be tricked like that. After all the shipping fiascos with my last order I was understanding and decided to try again...but this is just dishonest. Won't be using these guys anymore...
